Installation
Install the CLI and SDK, connect an existing app and configure your environment variables.
Install the CLI
The CLI manages schemas, migrations, environments and secrets. Install it as a dev dependency so every teammate uses the same version.
Add the SDK to an existing app
If you already have a TypeScript project, initialise Tessera inside it. The command adds schema.ts and a tessera/ folder for the generated client.

Keep server keys private
Browser code should use the public key from TESSERA_PUBLIC_KEY. Server keys bypass row-level rules.
