Promote environment

Apply an environment's schema and functions to another environment.

POST

/v1/environments/{environment_id}/promote

Plans and applies the migration from the source environment to the target, then deploys its functions. Returns the migration that ran.

Authorizations

Bearer token. Use a server key or a user access token: Bearer <token>.

The source environment.

Request body

targetstringrequired

Target environment name, for example production.

dry_runbooleanoptional

Return the plan without applying it.

Response fields

migration_idstringrequired

ID of the applied migration.

changesstring[]required

Human-readable list of schema changes.

Errors

401unauthorized

The token is missing, expired or revoked.

403forbidden

The key doesn't have the scope needed for this endpoint.

409migration_conflict

The target changed since the plan was made. Plan again.
